Cord comprises a spiral polyamide monofilament, flattened to form a sleeve (1), and pleated along its whole length by a thread (2) passed through it to make a continuous corrugated surface with toothed twists (3) which give the effect of a string of pearls. The thread (2) used to corrugate the sleeve can be cotton or metal wire.
