<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general-purpose IC card which can be instantaneously used only by setting the IC card at an external device according to the specification of the external device whether a contact system and a radio system, without requiring any operation by a user. SOLUTION: This IC card is provided with a contact part 2 for contact which can be brought into contact with a card reader/writer 100 being an external device, a radio transmitting and receiving part 30 for operating transmission and reception by radio with the card reader/writer 100, and a data processing part 10 for operating a data processing by access to the card reader/writer 100 through the contact part 2 for contact or the radio transmitting and receiving part 30. In this case, a contact mode using the contact part 2 for contact and a radio mode using the radio transmitting and receiving part 30 are selectively set according to the receiving state of the radio transmitting and receiving part 30.</p> |
