PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid deviation or a step difference of a formed image by eliminating deviation in light emission distribution among LED elements while maintaining a head structure where a large number of LED elements are placed on a line. SOLUTION: The length of respective individual electrodes 4 that are led out alternately in the subscanning direction on respective light emitting sections 6 is selected somewhat longer so that the respective electrodes 4 are overlapped in the subscanning direction in excess of, e.g. a main scanning line L to make the luminous distribution uniform with respect to all light emitting sections 6, in such a way that ununiformity in light emitting distribution among light emitting dots is compensated and the light emitting distribution is biased toward the main scanning line L. Thus, the luminous quantity distribution relating to generating one pixel of each LED element 3 is arranged on a line under the condition that a simple LED array 1 is adopted where lots of LED elements 3 are arranged on a line. |
