PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software development supporting device for easily optimizing a state transition table in various stages of the development of a software system operating the state transition table by interpreting it. SOLUTION: In a state transition interpretation execution part 2, state transition history at each state and event realization history at each event are collected/recorded while the state transition table 1 is interpreted. A state transition order optimizing part 10 and an event order optimizing part 11 determine a transition order to other states and a realization order of the events at each state of the state transition table 1 so that a transition time from respective states calculated based on recorded state transition history and event realization history to the other states is minimized.
