PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a three-dimensional stereoscopic image of a high quality with a small amount of data by defining a closing line of a photographic image and not less than one contour line of equal distance from the center point of a picture and allocating depth information which respectively takes the camera position of a picture as an origin about the contour line and the closing line. SOLUTION: A photographic image has an image like perspective projections with a camera as a central point and practically includes depth information, i.e., three-dimensional spatial information. For instance, when a frame PT of a photographic image PP, a central point P and a picture BT of a subject that is reflected in the center are considered, this one image PP can be regarded as what expresses two-dimensionally by smashing a three-dimensional cylindrical space having a bottom BT in the direction of depth and confining it in the frame PT. A three-dimensional space can be expressed by extracting distance information from the image PP, defining a contour line connecting points of an equidistant curve and setting distance to each contour line. |
