PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of easily setting an operational mode. SOLUTION: A main control part 200 is set so that a both-side mode for forming images on both sides of a printing paper may be selected when an operator depresses a mode clear key so as to clear the mode. When the mode clear key depressed once is depressed again, the both-side mode is cleared out by the main control part 200. Besides, in the case any input is not given by the operator after a lapse of a prescribed time in an input standby state, a mode clearance processing is automatically executed. The device is controlled so that the both-side mode may not be cleared even in the case the mode clear key is depressed by the operator after the mode clearance processing is automatically executed. By operating in such a way, the operability of the device with the both side mode is improved. |
