摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a large marginal space on recording paper and to attain effective utilization of the paper by aborting excess part of data and controlling the equipment so as to rotate received image data on recording paper, when a subscanning length of the data exceeds a main, scanning width, and when difference between the subscanning length and the main scanning width is of a prescribed value or below, in the case of recording rotated received image data. SOLUTION: In the case that an excess part Ma exists in a subscanning length M1 of received image data, the recording mode is changed, according to a difference between the subscanning length M1 and the main scanning width M2. When the difference is a prescribed value or less, the received image data is recorded on a cut paper in the excess part abortion mode or the rotation reduction mode, based on the result of the detection of the number of white black conversion points in the excess part M1a and the setting state of the reduction setting key. In the case of receiving one page worth of image data whose subscanning length is longer than a routine size, the image data without rotation are once stored in an image memory, and the subscanning length M1 of the received image data is obtained.
