PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase copying speed by shortening the time for forming and transferring respective image, in the case of performing the image recording on both side of a transfer material. SOLUTION: This image forming device is constituted by arranging a pair of processing units 20 (20A and 20B) housing photoreceptor drums 21 (21A and 21B), and electrifying devices 22, exposing units 30 (30A and 30B), developing devices 23 and cleaning devices 24, in parallel on a periphery of an intermediate transfer body 10 extended in the horizontal direction oriented to the transport direction. The original rear side toner image formed by the processing unit 20B on the upstream side is transferred on the intermediate transfer body 10, and the toner image formed by the processing unit 20A on the downstream side is directly transferred on the front side of the recording paper P being fed in bypassing the processing unit 20B. Secondly, the device is composed so that the toner image on the original rear side being carried by the intermediate transfer body 10 is transferred on the rear side of the recording paper P. |
