An actuator 10 controlling the flexure of a printed circuit board 18 is bonded to the circuit board 18 so that the actuator spans the electronic tracks and/or components on the board. The actuator is mounted on at least one support 16, that provides a clearance beneath the actuator 10 that accommodates the board components. The clearance may be filled with a solid material or may be an air gap. The support may comprise aluminium feet or strips or alternately may comprise a layer of glue. The support material and arrangement is such that sufficient force may be transmitted from the actuator to the board, to control board vibrations. The actuator is preferably piezoelectric or electrostrictive.
