Flow deflector with boundary layer influence, for road, rail and water vehicles

A flow guide surface (4) is formed by plates (2) mounted next to each other and retained in a frame (1). The plates deflect the flow (6) of medium along their front sides to the rear sides of the plates overlapping them. The deflected flow produces on the main surface (9) a force (11) in the direction of flow and also an opposing force (10) on the inner side of the plate. The plates are flow-dynamically stressed, through which the flow in the boundary area of the main surface is influenced to reduce flow resistance.
