Differences between materials (units of data consisting of image data and accompanying voice data) can be corrected by easy management. A data recording device which receives data including at least either image data or voice data of a plurality of channels and records the data in a plurality of recording media accessible nonlinearly within time slots alloted to the respective channels has a recording means which allots the data to the respective recording media and records the alloted data in the recording media and a control means which controls the recording means so as to record correction data representing corrected signal levels of the data in the recording media together with the alloted data.
