Fuel tank

The vehicle fuel tank (10) has an inner wall section (12,36) to reduce surge movements in the fuel. It is located at a gap from the leading (28) and trailing (30) walls of the tank in the direction of travel. The inner wall section significantly covers the tank height and width, and is structured so that its limit surfaces are least mainly away from a plane at right angles to the direction of travel. The gap between the wall sections is set so that the volume of fuel in the spaces is insufficient to generate a noise.
