The wishbone wheel suspension, for wheels on a vehicle axis, has one wishbone at a linkage point. In a telescopic wishbone, the linkage point is directly at the vehicle body and, with a rigid wishbone, its action is through a crank, a rotating slide guide or a curved path. The linkage point lies within, outside or at a semicircle (K), with its centre point on the line which links the intersection with the high tyre axis with the longitudinal axis from the wishbone to the rolling centre (RZ). A second wishbone is in a rotating linkage at the vehicle body at the inner end and at the wheel carrier at the outer end, so that the wheel carrier is rigidly bonded to the first wishbone on its extension. |
