PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To indicate the direction by which a printing paper is to be set when a two-face printing is to be performed by a printer for single face printing. SOLUTION: Following to the direction for paper feeding/discharging and a total page number, pages to be printed are determined in order, and a printing is performed by a printer in such a manner that a face surface printing→a re-setting of printing paper→a rear surface printing may be performed in this order. After the completion of the face surface printing, the printing paper is re-set by an operator, and at that time, how the printing paper to be re-set is placed in a paper feeding port is displayed while taking the image direction based on the printing paper, the paper feeding port, the surface of the fed paper, the paper feeding direction of the printing paper, and the binding location under consideration. When the operator sets the printing paper following the display, a two-face printing can be performed in such a manner that a desired image is bound in a desired direction.
