PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a treating liquid for fabric substrate that gives bright and sharp images without ink bleeding by adding a water-soluble inorganic thinning agent to a mixture of a water-soluble polymer and an oil medium. SOLUTION: A water-soluble polymer as polyacrylic acid with an average molecular weight of 1,000-4,000,000 and a dispersant are mixed with an oil medium as mineral terpene and further a water-soluble inorganic salt having viscosity-thinning effect on the above-stated water-soluble polymer solution is added to and dissolved therein so that the content B of the water-soluble polymer becomes 0.1-30 wt.% and the content A of the water-soluble inorganic salt ranges in 0.1×B<=A<30 to prepare the objective fabric-treating solution with a viscosity of 1-100 cp. This treating liquid is applied to fabric of polyamide synthetic fiber, then the treated fabric is dyed by jetting or spraying the ink containing coloring components of dyes or pigments, then subjected to the color development treatment, washed and dried to give the dyed fabric. |
