PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely irradiate all the outer and inner faces of a vessel with electron beams. SOLUTION: A conveying means 50 is provided for conveying a vessel 2 through two wires 51 and 51. In this case, the vessel 2 is used while having a cylindrical main body part 2a thicker than 100 g/m<2> and thinner than 700 g/m<2> and a port part 2b located at the upper part of the main body part 2a. The port part 2b of the vessel 2 is held between two wires 51 and 51 and hung down in the state of raising the vessel 2. Next, the conveying means 50 is operated and the vessel 2 is conveyed into an irradiation chamber 31. When passing the vessel 2 through an irradiation space 36 in the irradiation chamber 31, the side face of the vessel 2 is irradiated with electron beams by an electron beam irradiating means 21. Besides, when the vessel is irradiated with electron beams, two wires 51 and 51 are operated by a turning means 60 and the vessel 2 is turned around its central axis at about 25 deg. at least. |
