PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To swiftly judge whether or not the inspected lactobacillus causes turbidity in beer by conducting the PCR method using the gene sequence related to hop-resistance as primers. SOLUTION: The purpose of this invention is achieved by conducting the PCR method using, as primers, oligonucleotides comprising some or all of the nucleotide sequence of the formula, which is a hop-resistant gene existing on the plasmid contained in Lactobacillus brevis [e.g. 5'- ATCCGGCGGTGGCAAATCA-3' and 5'-AATCGCCAATCGTTGGCG-3'] or comprising the complementary sequence corresponding to the nucleotide sequence. We can judge without fail for a few hours whether or not any oligonucleotide having the recognizable sequence exists by isolating the amplified nucleotides and subjecting them to the electrophoresis. |
