Each user interface (3) in the unit (1) includes a transistor (7) operated by a control unit (6) for connecting the user, restricting power supply from an AC voltage network, and disconnecting the user if the current in the power supply exceeds a given value. Also present in each interface is a switch (8) read by the control unit for manually disconnecting the user. Batteries are provided for maintaining power in the event of the mains power supply being cut off.
