摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device useful for screening many polypeptides with fluorescent labeled receptors by successively forming different peptides on the plural preliminarily determined surface regions of a substrate through masks by a lithographic method. SOLUTION: The first region selected from preliminarily determined plural regions on the surface of a substrate such as a glass plate is exposed to light through a mask to activate a linker molecule having a reactive group protected with an optically removable protecting group. The activated linker molecule is reacted with an optically removable protecting group-containing monomer, such as a protected amino acid to form an amino acid sequence. Similarly, the second selected set region is exposed to light to form an amino acid sequence. The processes are repeated to obtain a device comprising greatly large scale immobilized peptides for screening many polypeptides. The screening of the amino acid sequence is carried out exposing the region to an antibody, reacting the antibody with a fluorescent labeled receptor capable of recognizing the antibody and subsequently detecting the fluorescent light.</p>
