A milling bottle (10) for manufacturing sterile pharmaceutical suspensions. Said bottle (10) comprising a carboy (11), a bleed valve (22), a connector (16) connecting the bleed valve (22) to the carboy (11) and a filter (12), preferably a hydrophobic filter, held between the carboy (11) and the bleed valve (22) by the connector (16). The carboy (11) is made from a material that can withstand autoclaving. Filter (12) prevents the suspension from expanding out of the carboy (11) during autoclaving but allows for pressure equalization during heating and cooling. |
