<p>A system for removing shadow mask assemblies from kinescope panels of all sizes includes slidable blade mounts arranged to move parallel to the axes of the panel toward the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock stud positions of the panel. The motion along the major axis is independent of the motion along the minor axis. Each blade mount supports a plurality of blades determined by the number of stud positions for the various sizes of panels. The system includes means for sensing the panels to establish the sizes thereof and also means for centering the panels. The blades required for a particular size panel are actuated,and the shadow mask assembly is removed from the panel.</p> |
