PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a YAG laser oscillator in which a laser output can be always surely and inexpensively monitored regardless of pulse oscillation and continuous oscillation, and a laser marking device equipped with it. SOLUTION: A YAG rod 11 and a lamp 12 are incorporated in a housing case 10. The both edge faces of the YAG rod 11 are exposed from the housing case 10 to the outside part. An infrared cut filter 16 and a light receiving element 17 are arranged at positions where the optical path of a laser beam is not interrupted in the neighborhood of the front edge face of the YAG rod 11. A CPU 21 corrects the laser output to a constant value, by controlling currents supplied from a lamp power source 20 to the lamp 12 based on the output signal of the light receiving element 17, and judges whether or not the life of the lamp 12 ends based on attenuated amounts from light quantity just after the exchange of the lamp 12. |
