The racket handle is fitted with a cone of a supple material which slides along a pair of rods or tensioned cables between brackets and makes contact with the player's wrist when the racket is held upright, moving away when the racket head is held down or when the ball is struck. The cone is made from a flat piece of a supple material in the shape of a section of a circle rolled into a cone shape by joining its two free edges (39, 40) together. The size of the cone can be adjusted by means of two rows of studs on its overlapping edges, the outer one of which has a tongue (41) for undoing the cone.
