PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load on a recording part while securing the required copying rate by setting the recording speed of the recording part variable, and switching the recording rate corresponding to the copying number set by a control device. SOLUTION: The recording speed of a recording part 1 is set variable. A document reading part 11 achieves the reading at the prescribed reading rate. Recording is achieved while reading the image by the document reading device. The read image data is stored in the memory, and the storing action is achieved parallel to the recording. In a case of the small number of copying, the copying is achieved by reducing the recording rate to the document reading speed, while in a case of the large number of copying, the performance of the recording part 1 is fully utilized, and the copying is achieved by increasing the recording speed to the maximum value of the recording part 1. The load on the recording part 1 is reduced without degrading the copying performance of a whole copier to improve the service life of the copier. |
