PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify voice guide in the case where an occupant is seated on the assistant driver's seat by providing a mode switching means for switching a voice guide mode between a detail mode and a simple mode. SOLUTION: When a user inputs his destination by using an operation part 11, a control device 10 calculates a route from the current position to the destination. A map showing the route is displayed on a display 14. In an important part such as an intersection point or the like, information is given by voice through a voice synthesizing device 15 and a speaker 21. A detail mode of detailed guidance and a simple mode of simple guidance are provided as a guide mode by voice. In the case where an occupant on the assistant driver's seat is detected by a fellow passenger detector 13, the voice guide mode is set in the simple mode. In the case where no occupant on the assistant driver's seat is detected by the fellow passenger detector 13, the voice guide mode is set in the detail mode. |
