PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanically connect both board connecting connectors to each other so as to electrically connect a contact provided in a top surface of each housing to each other by sliding an insertion member of a board connecting connector so as to be inserted into a guide groove of the other board connecting connector for fitting. SOLUTION: Top surfaces of housing 10a, 10b are arranged so as to opposite to each other, and they are moved forward, and while a fitting projection 52a of the housing 10a is inserted into a guide groove 40b of the other housing 10b, and while a fitting projection 52b of the housing 10b is inserted into a guide groove 40a of the housing 10a. The fitting projections 52a, 52b are guided to guide grooves 41a, 41b, and they come close to each other with a progress of the insertion thereof, and a male type contact 30a pushes a female type contact 30b for contact with each other, and they are stopped by stoppers 60a, 60b. A male type and a female type board-to- board connecting connectors 1a, 1b are mechanically connected to each other, and the male type contact 30a and the female type contact 30b are electrically connected to each other. With this structure, a dimension between electronic circuit boards 20a, 20b is remarkably reduced so as to lower the height, and necessity of opening of hole is eliminated. |
