PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smooth and accurate corrected waveform by obtaining corrected waveform output data for each scanning line from real data at the plural representative points of an ideal corrected waveform through curve interpolating operation. SOLUTION: Based on horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals, a scanning line number detecting means 13 detects the total number of scanning lines consisting a picture, when a video signal is sent. Based on this total number of scanning lines, the vertical positions of respective scanning lines in the picture are specified. The horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals are sent to a timing means as well. Data on the total number of scanning lines detected by the scanning line number detecting means 13 are sent to an arithmetic means 12 as well. At the arithmetic means 12, the real data of the corrected waveform the fetched from a non-volatile memory 11, arithmetic processing is performed while using these real data and the data on the total number of scanning lines, and the corrected waveform output data are operated for each scanning line. The corrected waveform output data thus obtained are successively sent to a frame memory 14. |
