<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a green compsn. for a color filter excellent in color characters, having especially high transmittance and therefore having high lightness and to obtain a color filter having satisfactory color characters by using the green compsn. SOLUTION: This green compsn. for a color filter contains a resin binder, a green principal pigment and a toning pigment. The toning pigment is a yellow pigment that is more greenish than C.I. Pigment Yellow 83 and C.I. Pigment Yellow 139 having transmission spectra of curves 4, 5, respectively, and has the rising phase wavelength of its transmission spectrum in the range of 430-480 nm and >=85% transmissivity of light to >=700 nm wavelength, e.g. C.I. Pigment Yellow 128, C.I. Pigment Yellow 150 and C.I. Pigment Yellow 155 having transmission spectra of curves 1, 2, 3, respectively. A color filter using the green compsn. in the green picture elements is obtd.</p> |
