PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a component to be easily heat-affected from the heat effect from a component having a heat source therein, and to simultaneously cool the component by providing a duct having an inlet port and an outlet port at the prescribed position under the prescribed condition. SOLUTION: A duct 20 for heat countermeasures is respectively provided on the front side and the rear side within an image forming device body. The tubular duct 20 is connected to an opening part made in the device body so that one end part of the duct of an inlet port 21 is faced outside an external cover 1 to take in the outside air. The other end part of the duct of an outlet port 22 is provided between a fixing unit 6 having a heating roll as a heat source and a cleaner unit 5 to be protected from the heat generated from the fixing unit 6. In addition, the duct 20 is arranged in a bypassing condition around the outside of the right and left end parts of a sheet carrying passage 15 to prevent the sheet from entering inside the carrying passage 15. |
