LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

摘要

A liquid crystal display comprising an absorption polarizer disposed on the viewed side of a liquid crystal cell and a reflection polarizer disposed on the opposite side. The liquid crystal cell holds a liquid crystal between two transparent substrates each provided with an electrode on the opposite inner surface thereof. The absorption polarizer is a polarizing sheet absorbing a linearly polarized light having a plane of vibration perpendicular to the axis of easy transmission, whereas the reflection polarizer is a polarizing sheet reflecting the linearly polarized light. A reflector or a color filter is preferably disposed under the reflection polarizer, and a light diffusion layer or a light diffusion plate is preferably disposed on the viewed side of the absorption polarizer.
