The method for the reading off of a swinging indicator is carried out and the initial course of the swinging or vibrating is analysed, for the obtaining of the measurement value. The measuring instrument is a weighing unit with an electrical output. The weighing unit is an electric beam or a weighing lever scale. The weighing unit can be a magnetic suspension weighing scale. The weighing unit is automatically electrodynamically compensated. The oscillation or swing is measured with a position sensor.
