<p>The invention provides a novel double balloon catheter (9) which includes a first fixed balloon (110) on the cranial end of the catheter (9); a second slidable balloon (114) positioned around the catheter (9), and spaced from the first fixed balloon (110); and structure for enabling the second balloon (114) to slide along the plastic tube (102) between a first position defining a minimum distance between the first balloon (110), and the second balloon (114); and a second position defining a maximum distance between the first balloon (110), and the second balloon (114). The invention also includes a novel method of using the catheter (9).</p> |
