<p>Bactericidal agents for treating plants composed of edible bactericides prepared from citrus fruit (grapefruit, etc.) seed extracts which can be eaten as such even when adherent to plants such as vegetables and edible surfactants prepared from sucrose fatty acid esters by which downy hair on the surface of the plant can be substantially eliminated and a hydrophobic layer formed on the surface thereof can be broken. By using these agents, bacteria adherent to plants such as vegetables can be sufficiently exterminated within a short period of time and the sterilizing effects can be sustained over a long time.</p> |
