<p>The present invention provides a method for treating a parasitic infection in a subject infected with a parasite having a plastid-like organelle, comprising administering to the subject an infection treating amount of a thiopeptide in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Methods for treating Cryptosporidium, Toxoplasma or Plasmodium infection in a subject are also provided, each method comprising administering to the subject an infection treating amount of a thiopeptide in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.</p> |
