<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus to treat wastewater containing hardly decomposable substances such as methylnaphthalene, isopropyl alcohol, tetraisopropylamine, etc., which can not be decomposed within a short time by microorganism. SOLUTION: A wastewater treatment apparatus to decompose and treat wastewater 1 containing organic pollutants by microorganism in a treatment tank 4 comprises a filtration member 7 which partition the treatment tank 4 into a chamber 5 for wastewater to be treated and a chamber 6 for treated water, an anode 8 inserted into the chamber for the chamber 5 for wastewater to be treated partitioned by the filtration member 7, and a cathode inserted into the chamber 6 for treated water on the opposite to the anode 8 and carries out treatment for wastewater by microorganism 2 in the chamber 5 for wastewater to be treated, electroosmosis for the biologically treated wastewater by applying voltage to the anode 8 and the cathode 9 while keeping the chamber 5 for wastewater to be treated at higher pressure than the chamber 6 for treated water, and filtration of the resultant treated water 11 by the filtration member 7 to separate treated water to the chamber 6 for treated water.</p> |
