PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form the correct through hole generating fed burr due to blanking by adding the specified quantity of Mn and S into the composition of the plate stock of non-magnetic austenitic stainless steel to generate the crystal grain of MnS. SOLUTION: 1.2-2.0% Mn and 0.003-0.15% S are added into the plate stock for the electron gun consisting of non-magnetic austenitic stainless steel. The crystal grain of MnS of <= about 40μm in crystal grain size is generated by annealing this plate stock. Thereafter, develing, skin pass rolling, surface brushing, surface blasting or surface grinding are applied to this plate stock to thinly work and harden the surface layer. Moreover, 0.02-0.06% C, 0.4-1.0% Si, <=0.025% P, 13.5-15% Ni, 5-17% Cr and 0.03-0.06% N are further contained into the stainless steel. This plate stock is provided with high toughness and strength.
