PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for arriving initial dye concentration of transfer recording at a target concentration in a system utilizing a sublimable recording type ink ribbon many times. SOLUTION: The sublimable multiple times thermal recording method comprises the step of using an ink ribbon many times under the condition that a conveying speed of a recording sheet is faster than a conveying speed of the ribbon by using the ribbon having two layers of a dye supply layer containing dye and dye transfer contribution layer and a recording sheet having a dye receptive layer. In this case, before the thermal transfer recording, the ribbon is preheated to melt the dye of the supply layer, transferred to the contribution layer, and then thermal transfer recorded. |
