摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the required space, and to reduce the cost by advancing/ retracting a yoke or a shaft by a telescopic device by the prescribed distance according to the unlocking or locking signal of a steering lock to achieve the unlocking or the locking through the fitting to or opening from the shall or the yoke. SOLUTION: When the locking signal of a steering lock (SR) is given, a yoke 3 is retracted, and the engagement of the yoke 3 with a shaft 2 is opened over the largest retracting position of the telescopic regulation position. The rotation of the yoke 3 is not transmitted to the shaft 2, or the rotation of the steering wheel is not transmitted to a steering mechanism, resulting in SR condition. When the unlocking signal of SR is given, the yoke 3 is advanced, the yoke 3 is engaged with the shaft 2, and stopped at the regulation position immediately before the locking of SR. Because a shaft slide mechanism for telescopic operation is disengaged, and the steering wheel is idled in SR, the mechanism to mechanically stop the rotation can be dispensed with, which is advantageous from the aspects of both the space and the cost.
