PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable restoration to overdrive to be performed properly without detecting the opening at which overdrive is restored. SOLUTION: This device includes a cruise switch 36 for setting the travel speed of a vehicle to become constant, an actuator 6 for controlling the opening of a throttle valve 4 during constant-speed travel, and a cruise control means 8 for controlling the operation of the actuator 6. In this case, the cruise control means 8 has an output value integrating means 30 which integrates outputs values of operation signals for operating the actuator 6, and if an overdriven state is canceled during a constant-speed traveling condition, the output value integrating means 30 starts integrating pre-operation signals at the elapse of a first predetermined time after canceling of the overdriven state, and the cruise control means 8 stops generation of overdrive cutting signals when the value integrated by the output value integrating means 30 exceeds a predetermined threshold. |
