Labyrinth structure formed on half of internal surface of tubes, used in pumps or compressors

The material structure extending from the internal face of the wall of a conduit where this structure forms a labyrinth, but leaves clear a part of the section of the conduit. It consists of a number of platelets (3) at right-angles to the general direction of flow of the fluid in the conduit. Each platelet (3) is connected to one of the walls of the conduit according to a defined angle of incidence ( alpha ) and an angle of inclination ( beta ). The labyrinth thus formed generates spiral movements (T) to the fluid flowing in the conduit.
