Brush roller for cleaning unit with helix bristle strip running along roller periphery

The brush roller has a bristle strip (12) extendig helix shaped along the periphery of the brush roller (2), over a max. 180 deg. I revolves opposite on the two longitudinal halves of the roller (2). The bristle strips (12) of the two longitudinal haves (7, 8) are arranged on opposite lying sides of the circumference of the brush roller (2). The bristle strips (12) include a strip shaped carrier (11) with a number of bristles distributed in its longitudinal direction. The brush roller has a helix shaped reception slot (9, 10) for the carrier at its top surface and at least one reception slot (9) at its middle end is open, and there in a recess (14), the adjoining longitudinal half (8) of the brush roller merges.
