The holder has a socket (4) for the container and a swivel mounted retaining jaw (7) resiliently pressed into the socket. The retaining jaw is swivel mounted on a holding element (8) swivel mounted on the holder housing (2). The holding element is biased against the holding direction of the socket by a spring (12) supported on the housing. The swivel movement of the holding element against the socket direction is defined by a stop (13).
