PURPOSE: To improve the discrimination accuracy of noise and substantial organs by making a weighting coefficient large i-n the case of judging that a picture element value is a substantial part, making it small in the case of judging that the picture element value is the noise, performing weighting to the picture element values of a present frame and a previous frame and obtaining a corrected picture element value. CONSTITUTION: An inter-frame processing part 18 inputs the picture element value Xt of the present frame outputted from an echo data memory to an inter-frame linear addition part 28 and inputs the picture element value Yt-1 of the previous frame outputted from a frame memory 30 to the inter-frame linear addition part 28 as well. The inter-frame linear addition part 28 outputs the corrected picture element value Yt , sends it to a line interpolation part and stores it in the frame memory 30. In this case, the weighting coefficient α is made large in the case of judging that the picture element value Xt is the substantial part and the weighting coefficient αis made small in the case of judging that the picture element value Xt is the noise. Then, weighting is performed to the picture element value Xt of the present frame and the picture element value Yt-1 of the previous frame and the corrected picture element value Yt is obtained. |
