PURPOSE:To make only required information into a vector by automatically sampling a texture area and the contour(edge) of it from image data, deleting the texture area from the image data, and thinning the contour of the texture area. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted of an image input part 101, an arithmetic part 102, memory 103, an image output part 104, an image display part 105, and a pointing device 106. The texture area and the contour(edge) of it are automatically sampled from the image data, and the texture area is deleted from the image data, then, the contour of the texture area is thinned. Also, the texture area is made into the vector as a polygon consisting of uniform texture images as it is, and it is made into image descriptive language so as to possess the kind of the image in a closed area as attribute. Furthermore, a paint-out area and the contourpart of it in the image data are automatically sampled, and a sampled paint-out area is deleted from the image data, then, a paintout contour part is thinned. |
