<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding method and an image forming device which are capable of obtaining a large, paper sheet separating force through a small quantity of air blasting force to positively perform the separation of paper sheets. SOLUTION: In a paper feeding method in which air is blasted to the paper sheets loaded on a paper feed tray 59 to separate the paper sheets one by one at a time to feed it, the air flow is controlled so that there is negative pressure above the upper face of the paper sheets, and the paper sheets are separated to be fed by an upward lift relative to the paper sheets, which is generated by the negative pressure. A paper feeding device 55 is provided with paper feed trays 59, paper feeding means 60, and air-blasting means 71, and air-blowoff ports of the air blasting means 71 are respectively arranged to be opposite to the side faces of the paper sheets. Air-restraining parts for restraining the air flow are provided.</p> |
