<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable checker and a method for checking a cable wherein whether or not voltage exists can be quickly and sensuously grasped. SOLUTION: A set of two cable checkers are used wherein a slide switch S.SW of one of the checkers is set to 'A', while a slide switch of the other is set to 'B'. Clips CL1 of respective devices are connected respectively to both ends of a cable, while a clip CL2 is connected to a ground terminal. Light emitting diodes LED1, LED2 light up according to polarity of current. Voltage is immediately displayed on an analog meter M. When the cable is active, function for checking continuity is locked and a predetermined melody is sounded. If there is 'no' voltage, a push button switch PB1 is pressed, thereby sounding buzzers of the respective devices simultaneously, so that continuity can be verified.</p> |
