<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound type library device capable of shortening the time required for the process of exchanging recording medium between container chambers by suppressing the increase of constituting parts. SOLUTION: The compound type library device 10 is equipped respectively faced to each other with a group of front side container chambers 16 consisting of container chambers 161 ... 16n containing cartridges 11 and a group of rear side container chambers 17 consisting of container chambers 171 ... 17n. The compound type library device 10 is equipped with a pair of recording media holding means 21, 22 which individually executes opening/closing operation and holds/release the cartridges 11 and an integrally transporting means holding a pair of recording media holding means 21, 22 so that the holding surfaces respectively face counter directions to each other, and a direction reversing means to reverse integrally in the transporting means the direction of holding surface of a pair of recording media holding means 21, 22.</p> |
