PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of the shape deformation of a graphic or a character or the like due to magnification, and to prevent display information from being unreadable when both a whole screen or an arbitrary area and display elements are simultaneously enlarged/reduced at designated magnification. SOLUTION: Data to be displayed are collected by a data collecting means 11, and the data are stored in a display information storage memory 12. The display coordinate and display size of the data are calculated by an arithmetic means 14 and a display magnification obtaining means 13. The display priority of display elements on a screen is decided according to the state of an equipment or the like by a priority display means 17. A processing for correcting the shape distortion or display break of the display elements at the time of enlargement and reduction is operated by a display editing means including a shape holding means 15 and a substitute display means 16. Thus, the display according to the display priority of the priority display means 17 is displayed on a display by a display processing means 18.
