The device incorporates a container (1) provided with at least one movable at least partly magnetic component (7). The container is also provided with at least one endless conveyor (5.1,5.2) forming part of a transport device (4), which accommodates at least the one partly magnetic component (7) and/or a scraper strip (27). The endless conveyor is arranged in the container near its base (10) and/or outside it. The single component (7) has a front non-magnetic area, a magnetic central area and a non-magnetic end part, possibly surrounded by a non-magnetic surface. The central part has a number of individual magnets spaced apart by distance holders.
