Movement damper for funicular ropes

The rope snaking preventing damper has a hydraulic rotary piston damper mounted for movement around a vertical axis and to which the suspension assembly is attached. The other part of the rotary piston damper is connected to a funicular car. The rotary piston assembly can be adjusted a through a regulating screw adjusted throttle for the damping fluid. The adjusting screw for the throttle can be aligned orthogonally to the pivot axis. The adjustable throttle section can be surrounded by a groove in the other part of the damper, the cross section of which is varied by he adjusting screw.
